(NEW)"The West".."September Seventh"..Deadwood Newspaper

This whole dream was about our country being at war and we(myself and others)were trying to survive up in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming. In the dream we had come down to Sheridan to get some supplies.

While in the town we had to pretend we were towns-people because living outside of towns and cities was illegal.

While we were there in the town we saw a man walking down the middle of the main street with a mega-phone announcing: "Daily Meeting of All Citizens at Main Library in Thirty Minutes!" So we had to go to this meeting.

I no longer recall what this meeting was about but do recall seeing a newspaper inside a metal stand with a glass front just outside the door. Inside the library I saw the same edition of this newspaper laying on a table. After the meeting we left and went to pick up the supplies we'd ordered. On the way we passed a man holding up this same edition of the newspaper.

Going over to the man I said "What paper is that?" He said, "Deadwood"...I bought one of the papers and looked at the headline. In huge black bold letters were two words: THE WEST...directly underneath this in the center of the page was a photograph(head and shoulders) of a bearded man with a handle-bar mustache, dressed in a black suit and wearing a black wide-brimmed hat.

There were two columns on each side of the photo. Four printed columns in all. Each set of two columns had the same header both in bold black letters like the headline above them though these letters were smaller. This header was:
SEPTEMBER
...SEVENTH

I do not know what this dream means if anything but the Newspaper seems to be the central focus. I do not recall the date at the top of the front page nor if it really was from "Deadwood". I do recall seeing an eagle with wings spread in flight at the very top and colored in red and blue.

mulling over your dream MC, I was reminded by the description you gave of the man on the front page of the character from the movie V for Vendetta.  I never saw the movie, but saw ads and looked it up as it looked so strange......reviews said it was mega wierd.  Something about this government created thing of a  warrior man turning on those who made him.   9/11 was eluded to as in the shadowy sense in the movie is my understanding.   Here is an image below, I will try to find a better one.  The part about Deadwood reminds me newspapers are printed on dead trees and also reminds me of Wormwood from the book of Revelation in ways.  Also, the charcter in the movie V for Vendetta wears a a-hem....wooden mask (um, dead wood) and his real face is never shown.  Sounds like the Adversary to me.

There is bad news and there is good news. 


The red and blue eagle,  I interpret as the U.S government.  I know there is a Deadwood the town in S.D., and maybe there is something in part there, but over all I sense the U.S. given the other elements of your dream.

Further, the man in the middle of the page seems representative of the west as his photo is below that heading.   Add the four columns, plus the photo in the middle which is really the central column on the page, there we have five total.


I had pondered in earlier posts here on the forum about an event on September 7th.....there is the Full Moon with partial eclipse.

okay, this is weird,  below is one of the symbols of the movie .....and you had a dream a bit ago of the number five if I recall and it was not the Roman Numeral as it seems this is below (though masked as a V).....but it was a 5.  Now, I am reminded again of the 5 year anniversary approaching.

Thank you all for your comments...I've saved the whole thread and will put it together with the other dreams and will post a response after mulling these over.

Here's something new about the dream that came this morning:
I only saw the circle with the "5" inside of it and both were now colored in red instead of white. These were against a jet-black background. Saw nothing else.

I was told by the one with me that this was not a personal message to me specifically, although I would be personally affected by it along with many others. I was also told what it was that was going to occur but unfortunately I no longer recall what that was.

Anyway, thanks! I'll get back after looking over these other dreams you all have mentioned.

I had a link that had the red V in a circle, showed it close up, but it bleeped out on me, so I found this below, not as good. The V looks like horns as it extendes out of the circle, the red I take it is to mean blood.   If I find another will post.

I thought to look up the meaning of the name Sheridan as it was in your dream, and low and behold there comes the lion theme again.  It is on a coat of arms of the Sheridan clan, Irish......the meaning of the name is not certain, but in one rendering means "descendants".  see link....

I thought of the term "getting rid of the deadwood" when I read about this dream. This  would refer to getting rid of something useless that is retarding growth or activity. I also thought about the town of Deadwood, and I think some famous person of the old west was killed there? Maybe Wild Bill Hickok or someone like that?

Eve:  Yikes!  That "V" guy is really creepy!  And regarding the name "Sheridan" it is my paternal grandmother's maiden name and I am her name-sake.  Her name was Mary Catherine Sheridan until she married a "Young".  Her Father or Grandfather(?)was General Philip Sheridan for whom the town of Sheridan,WY is named.  No wonder I'm seeing lions in my dreams!  They're in the family!

Djazz&Bonnie:  Yeah, I do have a connection to those areas.  see response above to Eve about my Grandmother.

MC, I am so glad that you are feeling better. I just read your reply, and the thought came to me that the lion, being linked to your family so strongly, may be trying very hard to give you a message that you have not received, or do not want to hear. The lion may be roaring loudly now, because he is frustrated at trying to give you this message. It must be important.

Heh!  Yep, you could be right about that lion...I do tend to not be as alert as usual when I 'm not feeling well.   I think this one is related to todays dream(posted separately) of "Two Visions" in which Old Woman appeared...it's always important when she shows up.
